labour of love

The restoration and reinvention of the century old Cape Dutch style farmhouse was a labour of love. Working around the original footprint without compromising the integrity of the building created a werf-style setting. The integration of the exterior and interior was achieved by working with scales, natural textures and fabrics.

Drawing inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and a special couple. These ex-neighbors who wanted a home not a house. Elements of linen, stone and art formed the basis for this project.

touch of french in the countryside

Core to my home is the entertaining of friends and family, alfresco style, not distracting but enhancing the incredible mountain views. An atmosphere and indulgence in equal balance was created combining scales and volumes with natural fibers

farmhouse country living

Living an authentic, rural lifestyle inspired the interiors connecting to nature via natural fibers and textures. Scales and portions of this manor house allowed me to create inviting spaces for friends and family.
